JPAM Featured Article: Using Preferred Applicant Random Assignment (PARA) to Reduce Randomization Bias in Randomized Trials of Discretionary Programs

As part of our ongoing effort to promote JPAM authors to the APPAM membership and the public policy world at large, we are asking JPAM authors to answer a few questions to promote their research article on the APPAM website.

A Respectful Request From APPAM President-elect Angela Evans

I am asking for your assistance.  I would like to initiate a memorial at the fall conference, honoring our APPAM colleagues who have passed away during the previous year.

If you would like to remember an APPAM colleague who has passed, please send the following information to info@appam.org with the subject line, “APPAM Memorial”.

  • Name of the person to be remembered
  • Photo (if available)
  • Date of death
  • Short description of the person’s contributions/roles in the field of public policy/public administration
  • Obituary (if available, or a link to an online version)

I appreciate your help on what I believe would be a worthwhile addition to our annual conference.
