APPAM Update - July 2012
The 2012 APPAM Fall Research Conference is fast approaching and in the next few weeks we will be opening registration, making the preliminary program available and you will be able to make hotel reservations as well. Check APPAM.org regularly for the latest information.
Fall Research Conference Registration and Preliminary Program Will be Available August 6
Early registration will begin for the 2012 Fall Research Conference on August 6.
Conference attendees who register between August 6-September 30 will receive the lowest registration prices. Members receive extra registration discounts so renew your membership before registering for the conference to receive the best rate.
The preliminary program will also be available on APPAM.org beginning on August 6. This digital preliminary program will allow you to quickly and easily search the program by date, session type, policy area, participant name, organization or keyword.
The conference will be held at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center and Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore Hotels. The hotels will begin accepting reservations at the special APPAM rates on August 6.
Do You Need to Make a Change to Your Accepted Paper?
If you submitted a proposal for the Fall Conference that was accepted you can easily make changes online. Use the four digit number assigned to your proposal when it was submitted. This will allow you to change the title, author names or affiliations or upload a complete copy of your paper.
When uploading a copy of your paper, please upload a PDF file no later than October 19 or send it directly to the discussant(s).
Peter H. Rossi Award
The Rossi award honors the lifetime achievements of Peter Rossi (1921–2006) by recognizing important contributions to the theory or practice of program evaluation. The award may be for a recent paper or publication or for an entire body of work. Nominations are due September 1; visit the awards page for criteria and nomination details.

Attention APPAM Institutional Members
Starting July 15th, APPAM and NASPAA will be sending out information on how to submit data for the Foundation Data Project. This is our annual data collection effort to gather information about your school's MPP/MPA program. Once you submit your information, your data will be analyized and the results available to member schools at APPAM's November meeting. Stay tuned for more information about the Foundation Data Project over the summer.
