Careers in Public Policy Analysis
and Management - Information for Job Seekers |
 |
Since its founding in 1979, APPAM has promoted career opportunities in the public
policy analysis and management field. These opportunities include faculty positions
and research positions outside of academia that require a doctorate in public
policy or a related field. Many of APPAM's institutional members offer the doctorate
as well as Bachelor's degrees and professional Master's degrees. For more information
on educational programs, please look under "Education" on this website.
APPAM now is the co-sponsor of a new, comprehensive career website:

This new site offers job seekers many features and now is open for use. Among
the features are the following:
- Advanced searches for job listings that match criteria
- Email and RSS alerts when new jobs match criteria
- Anonymous resume listings for employers to search throughout
the year
- Special logos to indicate that a job seeker will be available
for interviews during the APPAM Fall Research Conference (please see additional
information under "Careers").
Coming soon there will be pages on PublicServiceCareers.org devoted
to offering career advice and other general information about achieving success
in the field.
Job seekers interested in careers in public policy and management will find PublicServiceCareers.org to
be a valuable resource for finding jobs and for making themselves better known
to employers. The resume listing service on www.PublicServiceCareers.org accepts
new listings at all times. It also is designed to include resumes for persons
with all levels of education and a wide variety of career interests related to
public policy analysis and management.
