Instructions for Registering for the Korea conference:
All registrations for the special international conference being convened by the KDI School of Public Policy and Management
and the University of Maryland School of Public Policy will be made through the
Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management beginning on or about 25 February 2009. The link to the registration
form will be active at the bottom of this page on or about that date. Please read the following carefully before
initiating a registration.
- This system is for registration for the 2009 Korea conference only.
- All registrations paid by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) must be completed online and
using a secure credit card portal operated
by USA ePay, an affiliate of Network Solutions Merchant Services. Payment also may be made by check or wire
transfer per instructions on the registration form. When you complete
the registration process the system will provide you with a reference ID. That ID along with the email address
submitted during registration will be required to access registration information. USA ePay will never email a
request to verify payment information. Anyone receiving such a request at any time, should not respond but forward
the request to the APPAM office.
- After payment is confirmed, this website will offer a printable receipt for the payment that may be
accessed at any time.
- APPAM requires that all persons presenting papers at the Korea conference must
register early for the conference by 30 March 2009. APPAM reserves the right to remove papers from the conference
if the presenters to do not register by that date. Paper presenters
on panels may cancel registration for a refund by 30 March 2009. A $30 fee will be charged for
each cancellation.
- All other persons participating in the conference may register at the early rate by 30 March 2009 and
at the regular rate until 19 May 2009. Such persons may cancel for a refund by
19 May 2009. A $30 fee will be charged for each cancellation. No registrations will be accepted in advance
of the conference after 19 May 2009.
- There are substantial registration discounts for APPAM members. To qualify for the member discount, a membership
must be paid in advance of the conference. To join or renew a membership online (paying by credit card or
check), please go to the "Join APPAM" page under "MEMBERSHIP" or click
here. Payments for membership will generate a separate receipt that may be printed off of this website
when payment is confirmed.
- Persons residing in low income countries in Asia may be eligible for a waiver of the registration fee. Persons
resident in the following locations are not eligible for a waiver: South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong.
Confirmation of the waiver will be sent by email after review of the application.
