Instructions for Submitting a Paper Proposal:


Proposal submission is now closed. For instructions on submitting a late proposal, please send an email inquiry by selecting, "Singapore Conference-Program" on our contact form.
 


All paper proposals for the special international conference being convened by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore) and the University of Maryland School of Public Policy will be submitted using the electronic form available on this page. Every paper must have a designated organizer who will be the primary contact for the paper. If you are not the organizer but will be entering the information about the paper, please be sure to enter the information for the person who is the primary contact. Before using the form, please gather the following information:

  1. The contact information for proposal organizer including name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address. A valid email address is required for all proposals.
  2. The name, affiliation, and email address (if available) of all authors on the paper.
  3. The topic category of the paper as selected from this list:
    • aging
    • disability
    • drug and alcohol abuse
    • health care coverage
    • housing
    • income supports and welfare
    • old-age pensions
    • single mothers/fathers,
    • social services
    • unemployment
    • the working poor
    • other social protection topics
  4. An abstract of up to 8000 English characters in length (you may cut and paste from an electronic document, but please try to eliminate special characters such as formatted quotation marks).
  5. The answer to this question: "Has this paper been accepted for presentation at other conferences?"
  6. The answer to this question: "Has this paper been accepted for publication?"
When ready to submit a paper proposal, use the link below to launch the proposal form. Please note that after submitting your proposal it will not be possible to modify it using this system. To submit modifications to proposals via email (without attachments), please select "Singapore Conference-Program" on the APPAM contact form.

Notifications for the Conference:

Paper organizers will be emailed a proposal ID code necessary to check on the status of the papers for the conference. Notifications will be available through a link on this page on 5 September 2008. Please save your proposal ID code and return to this page on or after 5 September 2008 to access the notifications system for the Singapore conference. To check a notification, please click here.
