Download the New 2014 APPAM Conference App!

If you were an attendee at last year’s Fall Research Conference, you were probably one of 1,200 users of the Association’s new Conference App. We’re happy to announce that the app is back again this year, with some updates and a few new features, making it a critical tool for attendees to maximize their conference experience.
The app is a native application, which means it doesn’t have to be constantly connected to your mobile or wireless network to work. A hybrid web-based app, you can use it on your Blackberry, iPad, Android and iPhone smartphones, as well as through your web browser on your table, laptop, and desktop. This year, the app is sponsored by Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
There are several great features in the app, including a few new ones:
The Dashboard keeps you organized with up-to-date Speaker, Session, and Event information, as well as navigation to maps, schedules, exhibitors, social media, participants, and papers, and sessions.
My Schedule organizes your schedule with one click. You can add panels sessions, networking events and manually add your own appointments so that your entire schedule for the conference is in one, easily accessible, place.
Alerts allow you to receive important real-time communications from APPAM staff.
Share and caption event photos through the Photo Gallery.
Watch APPAM videos via the Association’s YouTube channel.
Sync your schedule and notes with multiple devices.
Rate each session through a short 5-question survey using 1 to 5 stars.
Access Facebook and Twitter feeds so you can follow the conversation from fellow attendees and post your own.
The app allows you to browse sessions by policy area, by day and by type (panels, roundtables or other events). You can see the schedule for each session, the participants, the location for each session, abstracts for each paper presented and there’s a place to take notes on the sessions. We encourage you to explore the app before you get to the conference, check out all the 200+ sessions being offered and plan your schedule while you’re there. The app will help you maximize your time at the Fall Conference.
Downloading the App
The app can be downloaded through your device’s app store, Google Play, and iTunes—search for “APPAM 2014.” Or you can scan the QR code below and follow the prompts. Note that this is not an update to last year’s app—the 2014 version is a completely new app that needs downloaded and installed in order to use.
For all other phone types, including BlackBerry and all other web browser-enabled phones: While on your smartphone, point your mobile browser to http://m.core-apps.com/appam2014 or scan the QR code below. From there, you will be directed to download the proper version of the app for your particular device, or on some phones, bookmark this page for future reference.
