Know Before You Go to This Year's Fall Conference

The 2012 Fall Research Conference is just around the corner. It's not too late to register; online registration ends on November 2. For those waiting to register onsite, the Registration Booth will be open from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7 and again at 8:30 am on Thursday, November 8.

Here's some last-minute information for those already attending:

  • If you are participating in a program and have not uploaded or sent your papers to the discussant, please do so as soon as possible.
  • Parking information:
  • A reminder that APPAM does not provide laptops for the panels so if a presentation requires a computer, one of the presenters must bring one. APPAM does, however, provide a screen and LCD projector for use, if necessary.
  • The Awards luncheon and business meeting on Friday, November 9 is sold out. There will be free seating available for those who wish to attend the Association business meeting, but lunch will not be provided for those seats.
  • The Registration Booth will be open
    • Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
    • Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    • Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
  • You may register onsite for a full conference, one-day, or two-day pass.
  • Everyone can follow this year's conference through social media and on Check the blog section for daily summaries. Follow @APPAM_DC on Twitter, or check our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for updates. For those participating in this year's conference, use the #2012APPAM hashtag to join the conversation on Twitter.
  • The Student/Senior Scholar Networking Reception time has been moved to 7:30 - 9:00 pm on Friday, November 9.
  • All APPAM members are invited to the this year's Welcome Reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry on Thursday, November 8. Buses will be departing from the west entrance of the Sheraton lobby starting at 6:15 p.m.
  • There will be coffee, continental breakfast, and afternoon snacks served daily in the Liberty Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel and the Calvert Ballroom at the Radisson Hotel.
