The 2018 International Conference Was Truly Focused on the Theme and Location

The conference was filled with great papers on vulnerable populations, new initiatives in cities, and sustainable development. I even chaired a session on public management and government sustainability. It was truly focused on the theme of Public Policy for Sustainable Metropolitan Development, with almost half of all papers mentioning “city” or “urban” or “metropolitan” in their titles.

JPAM Announces 2016 Raymond Vernon Memorial Award Winner

The Journal of Policy Analysis and Management (JPAM) is pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s Raymond Vernon Memorial Award is Kerri Raissian of the University of Connecticut Department of Public Policy for her paper "Hold Your Fire: Did the 1996 Federal Gun Control Act Expansion Reduce Domestic Homicides?" The paper was first published in the Winter 2016 issue of JPAM.

Honorable mentions have been bestowed to Eric Roberts, of John Hopkins University, and Daniel Sebastian Tello-Trillo, of Vanderbilt University.
