2014 Fall Research Conference General Sponsorship Levels
APPAM institutional members will have the opportunity to sponsor the entire Fall Conference. There are different levels of sponsorship for the Fall Conference and recognition will be given to each sponsor at the social and business events, in pre-conference marketing materials and on APPAM.org. 2014 Fall Research Conference Additional Sponsorship Items
In addition to the general conference sponsorship levels, there are also a number of individual items available for sponsorship.
Registration Bags - $5,500
Your organization’s logo will be placed on each registration bag and also includes (1) one bag insert. An insert can be a flyer, keychain, or other item you would like all the conference attendees to have. You will need to provide APPAM with the insert to be placed in all 1,700+ registration bags.
Registration Bag Insert - $750
Insert a piece of your organization’s literature or other keepsake you would like included in each APPAM registration bag. You will need to provide APPAM with the insert to be placed in all 1,700+ registration bags.
Student Meet Up - $7,500 New this year!
APPAM will host a networking meet-up event for Master’s and PhD students at the host hotel, the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, on Friday evening, November 7. All student attendees are invited to participate and meet other students from all over the world. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage, in all promotional material and in remarks throughout the event.
Mobile App - $5,000 SOLD
Your organization’s logo will appear on the landing page of the 2014 Fall Research Conference mobile app as well as on various signage around the conference as the mobile app sponsor. This is a great opportunity to get your logo and organization’s information in the hands of all attendees, most of whom access the app several times throughout the conference.
Refreshment Break - $3,500 each
This includes sponsorship signage on the tables and in the general area of each break throughout the conference.
Hotel Key Cards - $5,000 SOLD
Your organization’s logo will be placed on the keycard to all APPAM attendee hotel rooms.
Cyber Lounge - $5,000 New this year!
This includes sponsorship signage on the tables and in the general area of the cyber lounge as well as setting the start pages of the internet browsers on each computer to your organization’s homepage. The Cyber Lounge will also be the exclusive location for attendees to use Wi-Fi during the conference.
APPAM and NASPAA Joint Reception - $6,000 SOLD
APPAM and NASPAA will jointly hold a reception for attendees of both conferences at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Sponsorship of this reception includes recognition in all official APPAM and NASPAA conference publications, recognition in all official APPAM and NASPAA conference signage, recognition at the event, as well as a complimentary literature table for materials at the reception. Sponsors will also receive logo recognition in the APPAM Conference Mobile App.
Registration Badge Lanyards - $3,000
Your organization's name and logo will appear on the lanyard of every registration badge given out at the 2014 Fall Research Conference. This is a great opportunity to see your organization's logo around the neck of nearly 2,000 attendees.
2014 Fall Research Conference Advertising Opportunities
There will be three programs in which to advertise at the 2014 Fall Research Conference: the digital preliminary program, the final program, and the pocket guide. The digital preliminary program on APPAM.org will be seen by everyone who registers for the conference, comes to the site to get hotel information, or looks at the program agenda. The digital ads come with a link back to your website. The final program and pocket guide will be seen by the 1,500+ people that attend the conference.
Please see the Advertisement Specification Form for particulars on formats for the digital ads, formats for printed ads, and how to submit the ads. For specific placement on digital ads in the preliminary program, please view the program map. The deadline for reserving and submitting ads in the digital preliminary program is June 27. The deadline for reserving and submitting ads in the final program is October 3. Digital conference app ads are due October 17.

2014 Fall Research Conference Exhibit Space
APPAM will offer its institutional members the opportunity to exhibit at the Albuquerque Convention Center for the Fall Research Conference. Exhibit space is limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. This is a great opportunity to promote your program to students, potential employees and the public policy community.
New this year, the exhibit area will be designed and managed by an exhibit hall decorating company. As such, it will be easier to order internet, electricity, order furniture and ship your booth materials to and from the conference. The exhibit area will be in very large ballroom with the posters but will also feature refreshments, a lounge area and Wi-Fi for attendees. We anticipate that the exhibit hall will be the central gathering area for all attendees attending the conference. Exhibitors will also be able to submit their preferences for their booth space using the Exhibit Hall Floor Plan.
The fee for reserving the exhibit space includes one (1) registration for exhibit personnel. You may register up to three additional personnel at the rate of $250 each. All exhibit personnel must be registered for the conference to gain access to the exhibit space.
Each pipe and draped space will come equipped with a 6’ skirted table, two chairs, a waste basket and an ID sign. The space does not need to be staffed during exhibit hours but the safety and security of the items displayed are your responsibility. See below for exhibit hours; at the conclusion of the exhibit hours each day, the room will be locked.

2014 Fall Research Conference Job Interview Space
Many institutional members use the Fall Research Conference as a meeting place to interview potential employees. APPAM is offering private space at the Albuquerque Convention Center for you to conduct your interviews. The space will be available all day on Thursday, November 6 and Friday, November 7. You do not have to be a member to reserve space at the Fall Conference for interviewing but you will receive a discount if you are a member.
There are options for both full and half day reservations for interviews. Each private room will include basic meeting room setup and the option to order food and beverages, should they be required.

2014 Fall Research Conference Affiliate Receptions
The 2014 APPAM Fall Research Conference will be held Thursday through Saturday, November 6–8 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Albuquerque Convention Center. If you have any questions about any of the above information, please contact Jocelyn Mason, 202.496.0130 ext. 203.
If your institution intends to host a reception or meeting during the conference and would like to utilize space in the Hyatt or Albuquerque Convention Center, please be aware the process for reserving this space has changed. APPAM will arrange all room set up, catering, and AV orders with the hotel and convention center and will assign space for each group, based on expected attendance and order of request. If your institution plans on holding a reception, please be aware that space will only be available on Friday, November 7. APPAM holds its own Welcome Reception on Thursday, November 6 and will not assign any space opposite that event.
IMPORTANT: To reserve space for an affiliate reception, please fill out this form and return to Jocelyn Mason. Space will be assigned and communicated to you for marketing purposes. Should the size of your event change, APPAM reserves the right to reassign your event to a room that is closer to expected attendance, based on final RSVP numbers.
For receptions on Friday, November 7: The APPAM Presidential Address is on Friday from 5:00–6:00 pm and is followed by the Presidential Reception from 6:15–7:45 pm. These events will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center. We will assign space for affiliate receptions at the Hyatt Hotel first, unless otherwise requested. Receptions CANNOT begin before 6:00 pm.
As mentioned above, all room set up, catering, and AV orders will be placed through APPAM. You will be sent menus with a request for your food and beverage order once you room has been assigned. All food and beverage, and AV orders must be submitted directly to APPAM by September 15. All billing will be handled by APPAM.
You will receive a cost estimate for your reception after your food and beverage order has been placed. We require a credit card number when the order is placed. An estimate of charges will be sent to you; you will then be expected to provide payment by check or credit card by October 30. The provided credit card will be charged for the estimated charges by October 30, if you do not pay the estimated charge by check. If your final bill is higher than the prepaid charges because of onsite additions or higher than anticipated bar charges, we will bill you after the event. If the additional charges are not paid by Friday, November 21st, the provided credit card will be charged for the difference.
APPAM will print an announcement of your reception for free in the final conference program book, as long as you grant permission on the provided form. This is a service we offer only for APPAM institutional members.
