2016 Fall Research Conference General Sponsorship Levels
APPAM institutional members will have the opportunity to sponsor the entire Fall Conference. There are different levels of sponsorship for the Fall Conference and recognition will be given to each sponsor at the social and business events, in pre-conference marketing materials and on APPAM.org. This is a great opportunity to highlight your program or institution in front of 1,800+ potential students and employees.
APPAM reserves the right to substitute benefits included in the packages below depending on availability. All substitutions will be of equal value.

2016 Fall Research Conference Additional Sponsorship Items
In addition to the general conference sponsorship levels, there are also a number of individual items available for sponsorship.
Attendee Mailing List - $500
This will include hard mailing information (name, organization, and address) for all conference attendees. This is a one-time use list.
Conference Lanyards - $3,000 SOLD
Your organization's name and logo will appear on the lanyard of every registration badge given out at the 2015 Fall Research Conference. This is a great opportunity to see your organization's logo around the neck of nearly 2,000 attendees.
Hotel Key Cards - $5,000 SOLD
Your organization’s logo will be placed on the keycard to all APPAM attendee hotel rooms.
Refreshment Break - $2,000 each SOLD
This sponsorship includes signage on the tables and in the general area of each break throughout the conference. The refreshments will consist of coffee, tea, water, sodas, and snack items such as cookies, brownies, or fruit. There are three breaks available: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Literature at Registration - $750
One piece of your organization’s literature or other keepsake you would like to be displayed on a literature table in the registration foyer. You will need to provide APPAM with the 800 pieces of the insert to be displayed.
Mobile App - $5,000 SOLD
Your organization’s logo will appear on the landing page of the 2016 Fall Research Conference mobile app as well as on various signage around the conference as the mobile app sponsor. This is a great opportunity to get your logo and organization’s information in the hands of all attendees, most of whom access the app several times throughout the conference.
Recharge Lounge - $3,000
Offer attendees a place to recharge themselves and their devices. This sponsorship includes branded charging tables and lounge furniture near the exhibit hall and session rooms.
Student Lounge - $1,000 SOLD
To encourage networking and research collaboration, the 2016 Fall Research Conference will have a designated lounge area for the nearly 500 student attendees. The lounge will be open to all student attendees on Thursday and Friday of the conference. Experienced professionals will be visiting the lounge throughout this time to share any advice they may have and to answer students’ questions.
Special Event Sponsorship
We will have several conference events available for non-exclusive sponsorship. All sponsorships include signage at the event, recognition in all conference publications, and the opportunity to provide literature to all event attendees.
Welcome Reception - $6,000
APPAM will host a welcome reception for all conference attendees on Thursday evening, November 3rd. All attendees are encouraged to attend and network with their peers from all over the world. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage at the event and all printed programs. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to provide literature for display at the event. This is a non-exclusive sponsorship as the event may be sponsored by up to five organizations.
New Member & First Time Attendee Reception- $1,500
APPAM will host special reception on the evening of Wednesday, November 2nd to welcome all new APPAM member and all first time conference attendees. All new member and first time attendees are invited to participate and meet others that are new as well. APPAM leadership and staff will be there to assist you with any questions you may have and ensure that your first APPAM experience is truly valuable. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage, in all promotional material and in remarks throughout the event. This is a non-exclusive sponsorship as the event may be sponsored by up to five organizations.
Lunch Symposium - $5,000
One of the two conference symposium will be held over lunch on Thursday, November 3rd. All attendees are invited to participate though a ticket is required for the event. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage, in all promotional material and in remarks throughout the event. This is a non-exclusive sponsorship as the event may be sponsored by up to four organizations.
President's Reception - $4,000
APPAM will host a reception for all conference attendees on Thursday evening, November 3rd, immediately following the Presidential Address by APPAM President, Ron Haskins. All attendees are encouraged to attend and network with their peers. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage at the event and all printed programs. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to provide literature for display at the event. This is a non-exclusive sponsorship as the event may be sponsored by up to five organizations.
Pre-Conference Workshop - $1,000
The 2016 Pre-Conference Workshop theme is currently out for bid from APPAM Institutional Members. It will feature a half-day workshop with both general and breakout sessions. Lunch and breaks will be provided. This sponsorship will include the opportunity to welcome all attendees, provide literature, signage at the event, and recognition in the printed program. This is a non-exclusive sponsorship.
Student Happy Hour - $1,000 SOLD
APPAM will host a networking meet-up event for Master’s and PhD students on Friday evening, November 13th. All student attendees are invited to participate and meet other students from all over the world. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage, in all promotional material and in remarks throughout the event..
2016 Fall Research Conference Advertising Opportunities
There will be three platforms in which to advertise at the 2015 Fall Research Conference: the digital preliminary program, the final program, and the mobile app. The digital preliminary program on APPAM.org will be seen by everyone who registers for the conference, comes to the site to get hotel information, or looks at the program agenda. The digital ads come with a link back to your website. The final program will be seen by the 1,800+ people that attend the conference. The mobile app is downloaded by more than 1,500 of the attendees both before and during the conference. Nearly 50% of all attendees use the mobile app as their main resource for information at the conference.
Please see the advertisement specification documents below for particulars on formats for the digital ads, formats for printed ads, and how to submit the ads. The deadline for reserving and submitting ads in the digital preliminary program is June 13th. The deadline for reserving and submitting ads in the final program is September 30th. Digital conference mobile app ads are due September 9th.

2016 Fall Research Conference Exhibit Space
APPAM will offer all organizations the opportunity to exhibit at the Washington Hilton for the Fall Research Conference. Exhibit space is limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. This is a great opportunity to promote your program to students, potential employees and the public policy community.
The exhibit area will be designed and managed by an exhibit hall decorating company. As such, it will be easier to order internet, electricity, order furniture and ship your booth materials to and from the conference. The exhibit area will be in very large ballroom with the posters but will also feature access to meeting space, refreshments, a lounge area and charging areas for attendees. With its central location, we anticipate that the exhibit hall will be the central gathering area for all attendees attending the conference. Exhibitors will also be able to submit their preferences for their booth space using the Exhibit Hall Floor Plan.
The fee for reserving the exhibit space includes one (1) registration for exhibit personnel. You may register up to three additional personnel at the rate of $250 each. All exhibit personnel must be registered for the conference to gain access to the exhibit space.
Each pipe and draped space will come equipped with a 6’ skirted table, two chairs, a waste basket and an ID sign. The space does not need to be staffed during exhibit hours but the safety and security of the items displayed are your responsibility. See below for exhibit hours; at the conclusion of the exhibit hours each day, the room will be locked.

2016 Fall Research Conference Affiliate Receptions
Space will be available for institutions wishing to host a reception at the Washington Hilton during the conference. APPAM will assign space for each group, based on expected attendance and order of request. Each organization will work directly with the Washington Hilton for all catering, room setup, and AV requests. If your institution plans on holding a reception, please be aware that space will only be available on Friday, November 4th. APPAM holds its own Welcome Reception on Thursday, November 12 and will not assign any space opposite that event.
IMPORTANT: To reserve space for an affiliate reception, please fill out this form and return to Tristanne Staudt. Space will be assigned in early August and communicated to you for marketing purposes. Should the size of your event change, APPAM reserves the right to reassign your event to a room that is closer to expected attendance, based on final RSVP numbers. All reservation forms must be submitted by July 29, 2016
For receptions on Friday, November 4th: The APPAM Presidential Address is on Friday from 5:00–6:00 pm and is followed by the Presidential Reception from 6:15–7:45 pm. Receptions may not begin before 6:00 pm.
As mentioned above, all room set up, catering, and AV orders will be placed directly through the Washington Hilton. Once space is assigned, a representative from Hilton will contact you with a request for your food and beverage order.
APPAM will print an announcement of your reception for free in the final conference program book, as long as you grant permission on the provided form.
