This year’s conference theme, Advancing Policy Research with Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives, highlights policy research that engages multidisciplinary perspectives and will aim to identify facilitators and barriers to effective cross-disciplinary collaboration for increasing the impact of policy research.

In addition to the general sponsorship opportunities, there are several individual items available for sponsorship. Popular limited-quantity items will entered into a lottery to select the item sponsor. The lottery was open Wednesday, May 11 to Wednesday, May 18 at 12 PM ET and is now closed. All remaining sponsorships will be on a first come, first served basis while spots last. Items with an asterisk (*) below have a quick sellout risk and will likely use the lottery system. Invoices and payments will not be processed until the sponsors have been notified on Friday, May 20. Add your organization's logo to the APPAM water bottles! Reusable bottles are placed throughout the APPAM conference space near water coolers for easy access for attendees. These are one of the most popular branded items for both sponsors and attendees alike. Not only do attendees use the bottles throughout the event, but they take them home as conference souvenirs. Because of their popularity, the water bottles tend to run out on day two so this is a great opportunity to get your logo in the hands of thousands of APPAM attendees.

APPAM Communities Lounge – Starting at $2,500
Place your organization’s logo on signage for the APPAM Communities Lounge near the Exhibit Hall! Now in it's third year, this popular lounge provides a comfortable space for conference attendees to network and discuss issues and research that are important to them. Student Hub – Starting at $2,000
The Student Hub is a popular lounge area for students and recent graduates to network and recharge in between sessions. The lounge will be located near registration and the APPAM Exhibit Hall. Dependent Care Grants – Starting at $1,500
APPAM Dependent Care Grant program offers policy students and young professionals grants of up to $400 each to help cover expenses for additional at-home or on-site dependent care. Your organization's support of this program would support the participation for those who may not be able to attend otherwise! There is room for five sponsors or one sole sponsor.

Exhibit Hall Refreshment Break – Starting at $3,500

Daily Wellness Sessions – $900 / $1,000
Help keep APPAM attendees active! Each morning of the conference, attendees will be invited to join their peers in an organized workout before the day's sessions kick off. Past wellness sessions have included a fun run, high intensity interval training (H.I.I.T), and yoga. The sponsor of these events will have their name on signage at the event as well as in conference publications.

Equity and Inclusion Fellowship Meet Up – Starting at $2,000 SOLD
The Fellows are invited to come together for a private reception to meet their peers and grow their networks. Sponsors will be recognized on signage and will be invited to give welcome remarks before allowing the Fellows to mix and mingle. This event is non-exclusive and may be sponsored by up to three organizations.

Equity and Inclusion Fellowship Lunch – Starting at $3,000 SOLD
APPAM will host a programmed lunch for the recipients of the 2022 Equity & Inclusion Fellowship in November. The Fellowship recognizes students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds for their accomplishments and bright futures in the public policy world. The sponsors of this luncheon event will have their organization featured at the event in signage, all conference materials, and in the welcome remarks. This event is non-exclusive and may be sponsored by up to three organizations.

Student Mixer – Starting at $2,000
APPAM will host a networking meet-up event for master’s and PhD students on Thursday, November 17. All student attendees are invited to participate and meet other students from all over the world. Your organization can sponsor this event and would be featured on signage and in all promotional material. This is a non-exclusive sponsorship and may be purchased by up to three organizations.

Digital Ads
There will be two platforms for digital advertisements at the 2022 APPAM Fall Research Conference: the online program and the online registration system. The online program at APPAM.org will be seen by everyone who comes to the site to get hotel information, explore networking opportunities at the conference, or looks at the program agenda. APPAM is also offering the opportunity to purchase ad space during the online registration process. These premium ad positions ensure that every single conference attendee will see your ad when they register for the event! All digital ads come with a link back to your website.
Please see the advertisement specification documents for particulars on formats for the digital ads and how to submit them. The deadline for reserving and submitting digital ads (registration system and online program) is Friday, July 1.
Print Ads
In addition to digital ads, there will be one opportunity for print advertisements at the 2022 APPAM Fall Research Conference, the APPAM Pocket Guide. The new pocket guide program has replaced the full printed program used in previous years and received great feedback from attendees in March 2022. This condensed version will be easier to carry and will feature a high-level schedule of all events and sessions at the conference.

The deadline for reserving and submitting digital ads (registration system and online program) is Friday, July 1. The deadline for reserving print ads is Friday, September 23 with all ads due on Friday, September 30.

Exhibits & Lounge Space
The APPAM Exhibit Hall has long been the meeting, networking, and refreshment spot for attendees. Various special events are hosted inside of the Exhibit Hall, such as the welcome reception, poster sessions, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, the headshot lounge, charging stations, lounge areas, and much more. There are now two great options for your to participate in the 2022 Exhibit Hall:
- Booth – This is the traditional APPAM booth that will come with back and side drape, one to two draped six-foot tables, two chairs, and a small ID sign. Exhibit booths should be staffed throughout the open exhibit hall hours.
- NEW in 2022! Lounge Pod - Can’t staff a booth but want a spot to meet with colleagues and have your logo featured prominently in the hall? Exhibit hall lounge pods are a hot commodity for attendees looking for a spot to network, catch up on emails, or to enjoy a quick cup of coffee before the next round of sessions. Lounge pods will be located inside of the Exhibit Hall and will come with comfortable and attractive seating for up to four people and a branded charging tabletop for your logo or ad of choice.

Affiliate Receptions
If your institution is interested in hosting a reception or meeting during the conference and would like to utilize space in the hotel, please complete the sponsorship order form above. APPAM will assign all space based on expected attendance and order of request. Organizations will arrange all room set up, catering, and AV orders directly with the hotel once space has been assigned. Please be aware that space will only be available on Thursday, November 17 after 7:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time. Applications closed August 31st. Find affiliate receptions in the Online Program.
PhD Program Fair
APPAM will host the PhD Program Fair on Friday, November 18 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM. Space is limited so tables will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. The Fair is open to any policy PhD program that is interested in sharing details of their program with conference attendees. The PhD Program Fair is full and no longer accepting table requests (09/27/22).
Interview Space
Will your organization be interviewing candidates at #2022APPAM? Let us take care of the space! Many APPAM Institutional Members use the Fall Research Conference as a meeting place to interview potential employees. To assist our members, APPAM is pleased to offer complimentary private interview space to our members this November! There will be three interview rooms at the conference that may be reserved in one-hour increments throughout Thursday, November 17 – Saturday, November 19. Once you reserve the space, you have access to the room for the entire time on the date of your reservation. At the conclusion of the reservation times each day, the room will be refreshed for use by the next organization. Space will be reserved on a first come, first served basis or until Wednesday, October 26, whichever comes first.
