The 2020 APPAM International Conference in Toronto, Canada will be held Friday July 23 - Saturday July 24 2020, hosted by University of Toronto and American University at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. Submissions are now open.

Major emerging threats to social wellbeing and public health, such as widening social inequalities and climate change, require innovative and cross-cutting policy action. Healthy public policy provides a lens to understand and evaluate policy making processes and their outcomes on community resilience, the environment, and population health across a wide range of policy domains. For example, policies affecting science and innovation, health systems, social protection, food systems, housing, education, immigration, transportation, and employment directly and indirectly affect the environment and population health. This international conference will showcase research from around the globe and across a wide range of policy domains that examines the process of designing and implementing healthy public policy and evaluates the impact of programs and policies on the environment, community resiliency, and health-related behaviors and outcomes.

APPAM is soliciting abstracts for: individual papers to be integrated into panels; panels made up of 4-5 papers; roundtables; and posters. The policy areas for the 2020 International Conference can be found here.

The deadline for the submissions is February 7th, 2020.
