From MPP/PhD to Practice: Translating Academic Research for Policy Audiences

Experts will gather for a roundtable to bring together stakeholders such as policy researchers, think tank scholars, government practitioners, science communicators, and advocates to discuss how MPP and PhD graduates can translate rigorous academic research into accessible formats that influence policy audiences and practice. Conversations will span best practices for op-eds, policy briefs, legislative testimony, and stakeholder and policymaker engagement, as well as how institutions, journals, and funders can better support knowledge translation as a legitimate scholarly contribution.
