Registration discounts are available for government employees but you must have a valid government (.gov) email. Please email [email protected], from your government email to receive a 15% discount on Early and Regular registration rates. Discounts will not be offered for onsite registration. Only individuals with valid .gov email addresses are eligible for this discount.
Discount codes are not stackable (one valid code per registrant) - please use the higher or preferred discount code before checkout.

Most sessions, all special events and the APPAM room block will be at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. The APPAM Room Rate is $269 a night. Please note that the hotel will charge a non-refundable deposit of one night's stay when the reservation is booked. The room rate will be available until Monday, October 20th or until the block is filled, whichever comes first.
There will be some sessions at the Grand Hyatt Seattle as well though there is not an APPAM room block there.
Please note: The APPAM Hotel Room block is now closed. Attendees who do not reserve with the APPAM room block are expected to secure their own lodging at the market rate. Below are several options within walking distance of the conference.

Parking at the Hyatt Regency Seattle
Self-parking is available at the Hyatt Regency Seattle at a cost of $48/day for hotel guests and $53/day for non-hotel guests (overnight parking for guests only). Please contact the hotel directly for oversized vehicle parking options. There are several nearby parking garages that may offer more competitive rates for those driving to the conference venue each day.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located just 15 miles from the Hyatt Regency Seattle, making it easily accessible for conference attendees. The airport is well-connected to downtown Seattle via Link Light Rail, providing a convenient and affordable option for travel.

For those preferring a more direct route, Uber and Lyft are both available at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Simply follow the signs to the designated rideshare pickup areas.

Most of the conference sessions, registration & badge pickup, exhibit hall, and special events will be held at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. There will be 10 sessions per timeslot, as well as auxiliary meetings, select special events, & affiliate receptions, hosted daily at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. It's a short 0.1 mile walk between the properties - see addresses & instructions below:

Dependent Care Grants
APPAM is pleased to once again offer registered attendees the opportunity to apply for dependent care grants. Grants of up to $400 are available for attendees of the APPAM Fall Research Conference who have child or dependent care obligations. Grant funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to APPAM members who are full-time students and/or have received their terminal degree in the last 10 years. The application is now closed.
Lactation Lounge
As in prior years, a Lactation Lounge will be available at the Hyatt Regency Seattle to accommodate the needs of caregivers and their infants. The room can be accessed by conference registrants on a first come, first served basis for times. Caregivers simply need to come to the registration desk when they need the room to obtain the key. Power and refrigerator will be available in the room.
Gender Neutral/Family Restrooms
There will be a gender neutral restroom available at the Hyatt Regency Seattle for conference registrants please visit the registration desk to obtain a key to use the rooms.
