In response to recent changes in public policy and the stress APPAM members are experiencing, we launched a monthly virtual event, Candid Conversations, in May 2025. We look forward to continuing the conversation at monthly meetups in 2026, with themes to spark discussion. These meetups will remain unstructured & attendees are encouraged to discuss whatever is on their mind, including:

• the state of the federal workforce
• data availability
• funding for policy research
• the news in general
• current projects
