Jason DeParle, New York Times journalist and author of A Good Provider is One Who Leaves was the keynote speaker during the #2019APPAM Opening Lunch "How Migration is Changing the Wold". Following that, DeParle and a panel of researchers including Moderator Carolyn Heinrich (Vanderbilt University), Hamutal Bernstein (Urban Institute) and Neeraj Kaushal (Columbia University) discussed the consequences of migration for families and society and the role of research and journalism in shaping policy discussions.
