APPAM Launches COVID-19 Member Resources, Data and Research Collaboration Hub

As many professional organizations around the globe explore ways that they can contribute to addressing the current public health crisis, APPAM would like to provide members with a platform for interacting and sharing ideas focused around the COVID-19 topic. To that end, we are launching a Resources, Data, and Research Collaboration Hub.

2020 International Conference in Toronto Submission Deadline EXTENDED

We are extending the deadline for submissions for the 2020 International Conference in Toronto by one week. The new deadline will be 23:59 PST Friday February 14th, 2020. Click here for the submission portal

The Conference will be held in Toronto, on the campus of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, July 23-24, 2020, and registration will open in late March.

We are accepting submissions for individual papers, panels, posters and roundtables. For more information, click here

The conference is under the title of "New Perspectives on Healthy Public Policy".

Healthy public policy, or the consideration of population health and health equity in all areas of policy, is vital to the achievement of sustainable and healthy communities. Policies affecting food systems, housing, education, immigration, transportation, employment and social assistance impact the social determinants of health and can have intended and unintended impacts on health and equity. This conference will showcase research examining how programs and policies affect health-related behaviors and outcomes, as well as inquiry into the development and analysis of healthy public policy. Policies and programs studied may have the objective of directly improving health or may affect health indirectly.
