The California Regional Student Conference will be held on March 9th – 10th, 2018, at Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, CA. During this conference, students will present research across a wide variety of policy areas, through poster sessions and on conference panels with their peers.

Participating students will gain valuable research presentation experience, as well as receive important feedback from academics, practitioners, and other students. Students will have several opportunities to network and make connections with a diverse group of policy professionals, as well as other policy students.

During these conferences participating students will present their research on panels of peers and through poster sessions across a wide variety of policy areas. Registration 

The registration rate for all attendees, including student presenters, is $25.00. This fee includes breakfast and lunch each day and a networking reception.

Lunch Workshop:

Tips for Translating Your Policy Degree into Academia, Public Service, and Other Scholarly Practices

Please join us for this workshop which will coach students on how to best prepare for a career inside (or outside!) academia.  Career development experts will be on hand to explore writing methods, general interviewing tips, and what it takes to secure a faculty position.  All PhD and master’s students will learn what skills and strategies they need to translate into a successful leadership role.

Networking Reception &
Poster Session
All attendees are encouraged to attend this reception to connect with their fellow students and make connections with other policy professionals in the CA area over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view student poster presentations and speak with authors.
Networking Lunch Enjoy discussing the day's sessions with your peers during this networking lunch. A buffet lunch will be provided for all registered attendees.
