What is an interesting, unique, or fun fact about your organization?
In 1965, Clark Abt, together with a handful of colleagues from Raytheon, founded Abt Associates in a modest office above a machine shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was a time of change and political unrest, and social science research was just beginning to be used as a tool in the formation and assessment of U.S. government policy. Clark’s vision of Abt Associates was a place where "good scientists and scholars with scientific integrity and high ambition" could "innovate better responses to complex problems." Those six words are the DNA of our company – why it was formed and why it has evolved over 56 years to continually meet the needs of our clients.
