2025 Fall Conference Funding Opportunities

APPAM is committed to making the Fall Conference accessible to all. To help reduce financial barriers and support broader participation, we’re proud to offer a variety of funding opportunities for attendees.

Please review each grant's unique criteria before completing the form. You may apply for more than one grant, but based on your application and demand, you will only receive one.

Complimentary Membership

• A complimentary year of membership will be effective in fall 2025. This may be used for a new membership or a membership renewal.

• Preference given to individuals impacted by job loss or organizational budget cuts that limit membership funding.

• Preference given to individuals attending the 2025 Annual Fall Research Conference.

Complimentary Conference Registration

• One complimentary conference registration for #2025APPAM will be provided. A discount code will be provided, and grantees will register themselves using the code.

• Must be on the conference program: presenting author, roundtable or workshop speaker, moderator, chair, discussant, poster presenters, Communities facilitator, or volunteer.

  • Not on the program? Volunteer to be a chair or discussant via your All Academic submission account.

• Preference given to applicants attending the full conference

• Preference is given to individuals impacted by job loss, budget cuts, or job seekers struggling to find work.

• Preference given to applicants not receiving conference funding from other sources.

Travel Grant Sponsored by Ascendium Education Group

APPAM is pleased to partner with Ascendium Education Group for additional travel grants. Up to 10 individuals will receive complimentary conference registration, 3-night lodging, and a $500 travel stipend. Please see the criteria below:

• Post-secondary or workforce development researcher/partner required.

• PhD students and professionals only. Not open to undergraduate, Master's students, or retired individuals.

• Must be a current APPAM member.

• Paper presenters, poster presenters, and roundtable speakers are given preference.

  • Secondary preference given to discussants, chairs, and community organizers.

• Must not be receiving conference funding from other sources.

• Preference given to applicants attending the full conference.

Student Ambassadors

APPAM Student Ambassadors are active student members who are highly knowledgeable about the association and willing to share their time at the Fall Research Conference. Student Ambassadors help make the event a positive and welcoming experience for attendees, especially first-time conference goers. This role includes serving as panel chairs, ignite session hosts, assisting conference attendees, and serving and supporting the conference where needed. Dependent Care Grant

Grants up to $400 are available for child or dependent care obligations. Grant funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to APPAM members who are full-time students and/or have received their terminal degree in the last 10 years. The Dependent Care Grant is provided on a rolling basis through September 30th or until funds run out. You must be a current APPAM member; if you are unsure, you can check here.
