The APPAM Fall Research Conference is a multi-disciplinary annual research conference that attracts the highest quality research on a wide variety of important current and emerging policy and management issues. The conference is comprised of panels, roundtables, and poster presentations and is designed to encourage substantive interaction among participants.

Innovation Lounge

A new concept being introduced at the 2018 conference is the Innovation Lounge, an easy-to-access space near registration where experienced researchers are invited to meet and share cutting-edge research with conference attendees. The 40th Anniversary of the Fall Research Conference is a great opportunity to innovate and we invite our attendees to do just that with the Innovation Lounge.

“The Innovation Lounge will provide a new type of experience for conference attendees," said APPAM President-Elect Matt Stagner. "I’ve always heard from APPAM members that one of the things they love about the conference is the chance to see colleagues from around the world, catch up, and bounce emerging ideas off each other. While we hope this happens in sessions, in the hallways, and after hours, the Lounge will provide a more formal space for gathering colleagues to brainstorm ideas and share perspectives.”

Innovation Lounge Sessions will be every hour, on the half-hour, starting at 8:30 am. Discussions will be 45 minutes in length and will occur in the following order:
