APPAM mourns the loss of distinguished longtime member and Past President, Laurence (Larry) Lynn Jr., a Professor of Public Management Emeritus at the University of Chicago since retiring in 2002 after serving on the faculties of the Harris School and the School of Social Service Administration
(SSA), where he was dean from 1983 to 1988.
Dr. Lynn was an active APPAM member, having served as APPAM President from 1985-1986 and authoring articles in the
Journal of Policy Analysis and Management. More information on Dr. Lynn's full life can be viewed in his
